Alirio announces solo album; single and clip already available

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with Brazilian singer Alirio in a multi-album deal. His debut with Frontiers, the album “All Things Must Pass” will be released on August 6th. The first preview for fans was made available this week, with the single and music video for the title track of the work. Watch below:

Alirio is a Brazilian singer and actor, and one of the most recognized rock voices in Brazil and an emerging name among the greatest in the country. Whether on stage, in the studio or performing in musicals, Alirio makes a strong impression with her powerful voice and incredible, effortless range. “I consider myself a very eclectic songwriter when it comes to rock styles. My favorite songwriters at the moment, and also big influences, are Chris Cornell, George Harrison and, of course, Queen,” says Alirio.

On the meaning behind the album’s first single, he says: “Power is constantly changing hands and you need to try to make the most of it while you have it. But will that also pass, and when it does, will you have been true to yourself or corrupted by the system?”.

All Things Must Pass will be Alirio’s international debut, with an album covering a wide range of rock and hard rock styles, with spaces for great melodies and apotheotic ballads. Among the musicians on the album are drummer Adriano Daga (Grammy-winning producer) and bassist Felipe Andreoli (Angra). Furthermore, none other than Journey vocalist Arnel Pineda appears in a remarkable duet.

“I am thrilled and sincerely grateful to be part of the Frontiers family,” says the artist. “This album is very special to me, not only for having really close friends and known worldwide, but especially for the passion and truth that I put into every note of this album. This is probably the most honest job of my career. To have a record company of this magnitude believing in my music, at such a difficult time for the world, is a great blessing.”

As a rock singer, Alirio led the band Khallice, which at the time signed with progressive rock label Magna Carta for the release of their debut album, “The Journey”. Alirio was also part of the metal band Age of Artemis, which released two albums, one of them produced by the renowned singer and producer Edu Falaschi (ex-Angra). More recently, he joined the band Shaman, as a replacement for the late Andre Matos.

Alirio has also played characters in several musicals, including the lead “Galileo” in We Will Rock You, Queen’s official musical production. He was later announced as the new lead singer of the band Queen Extravaganza, prompting Roger Taylor to comment: “Alirio is not only a superb singer, he is also a great showman.” Alirio also voiced the character “Lefu” in Disney’s A Bela ea Beast, live action.

He played the role of Jesus in the official Mexican production of Jesus Christ Superstar, and acted as Judas in the official Brazilian production of the same show, for which he was nominated for the 2014 Best Leading Actor award by the newspaper Estado de São Paulo. With that, the doors opened and he performed in some of the main TV shows in Brazil, such as the biggest talk show in the country, Jô Soares, in addition to Altas Horas, Faustão, The Noite, Jornal Hoje, Jornal do SBT, Jornal by Globo and Programa Todo Seu. He participated in the television show Good Morning LA, in the United States, together with the Queen Extravaganza.
